Croques-livres : Sharing your Literary Favourites
With the arrival of cooler weather, it’s the perfect time to find a good book for your children. Jacynthe, the team’s registrar and mother of a young boy, introduces us to her neighborhood discovery, Croques-livres.
Croques-livres, also known as micro-libraries, are book-sharing boxes for children aged 0 to 12. Created in 2014 by the Fondation Lucie et André Chagnon, an organization well known for its fight against poverty in Quebec. The Croques-livres initiative aims to offer easy access to books, enabling youngsters to immerse themselves in reading while also having the opportunity to give a second life to books they no longer wish to keep.
