Ville-Marie

The city economic center

The Ville-Marie borough is not a neighborhood like the others: it is the nerve of Montreal. Indeed, it encompasses the entire downtown area, including Old Montreal, the Latin Quarter and the Gay Village. The diverse population that lives in Ville-Marie knows what they want and shows boldness and initiative. In Ville-Marie, you can appreciate all the excitement of the city. The proximity to the business community offers incomparable professional opportunities. Culture is also present, since it is here that we find the main institutions of artistic creation and representation. In the heart of the borough, the Quartier des spectacles thrills the whole city to the rhythm of its multiple festivals and cultural events. It's the place to see and be seen, and choosing to settle there is a definite advantage.

The best of downtown Montreal

Skyscrapers, landmark buildings, hotels, restaurants, bars, and retail outlets of all persuasions create and fuel this eclectic cityscape. Home to three of Montreal’s four universities, UMcgill, UConcordia (English) and UQAM (French), the city’s downtown core often resembles a seamless international campus.

Moreover, Montreal was recently rated the No. 1 city in the entire world by Quaquarelli Symonds - a recognized authority in this sphere - for the congenial and affordable quality of life the city offers to its extensive student community.
