Located a few blocks from Parc Lafontaine in Montreal, the complex of 5 La Géode residential units is the first multi-family project to obtain LEED® v4 certification in Canada, with a Platinum level for that matter!

The project was designed by the two founding architects of ADHOC. For them, a good design must be meaningful, unfold a narrative and communicate a vision. The ADHOC Architectes firm is inspired by what surrounds us and develops its projects in the form of an analogy thus going beyond the strict functional aspect.

With the La Géode building, they were inspired by a mineral phenomenon: this rocky cavity lined with crystals which takes its name from a Greek word designating the earth. The geode is the reverse of our terrestrial mode of existence. It is a closed world, a sparkling cave. The inspiration was thus nourished by the context of the project and the objective of giving a real conceptual identity by tinting it with poetry.

Indoor environments:all ventilation systems have been tested and calibrated and meet the best requirements of current standards;excellent airtightness and thermal envelope performance (each unit has been modeled and tested for airtightness);acoustic test carried out to ensure better soundproofing;no garage;VOC-free paint;radon column.The materials are durable and of quality:slab on ground with polished concrete on each floor;radiant floors;durability of finishes in kitchens and bathrooms.
