A golden team
It was the meeting with Sophie, a true plant enthusiast, that we had during our visit to the store. In an enchanting interior setting, Vertuose boutique stands out not only for its wide selection of plants but also for the palpable passion of the employees for their craft. Upon our arrival, Sophie took pleasure in guiding us through our discovery, revealing relevant tips and tricks on watering and plant care. Offering niche products, Vertuose employees make it a point to share, to the best of their knowledge, suggestions with buyers who are “adopting” a new plant. They also aim to provide a fascinating in-store experience. Their website features detailed sheets allowing those interested to refresh their memory on the best ways to care for their “green family.”
Benoît, a formally trained horticulturist and founder of this charming business, celebrating its 18th year, also enlightened us on the services offered by Vertuose. Plant design, space planning, plant rental (for shoots, home staging, or other needs)—the boutique offers a variety of accommodations, catering to even the most novice among us.
Our favorite
While their entire selection is superb and enticing, their custom-made moss frames are absolutely incredible—genuine pieces of nouveau art that bring a serene, warm, and natural touch to any minimalist decor.
Our encounter with this wonderful team concluded with the announcement of exciting news: Vertuose will be opening a second store on the South Shore of Montreal during the summer, aiming to serve more customers and meet the growing demand.
