Located on Duluth Street, this Latin American patisserie opened its doors in December 2023. Owner Zarina is originally from Venezuela, where she already ran her own patisserie. Fleeing conflict in her native country, she chose to settle in Quebec, more specifically on the Plateau Mont-Royal.

Zarina Café offers delicious pastries, including alfajores. These little treats, which resemble cookies originally from Spain, are very popular in Latin America.

From the moment she walked in, Clara was immediately seduced by the decor. In particular, the harmonious combination of pink and blue. Zarina explained that she had chosen these colors for a very special reason: pink is her favorite color, and blue is her husband’s favorite. On one of the store’s walls is a panel of pink and white flowers that perfectly complements the space.

During her visit, Clara, our real estate broker, selected several flavors to treat her family. She confided to us that her loved ones were won over by these pastries, especially the chocolate one.

This café was founded in February 2025 by a couple of artists. Specifically, by Jo-Anie Charland (known as artist baeige) and Frédéric Duquette (aka FVCKRENDER). Their goal was to make art and art galleries more accessible. Although the business opened just over a month ago, it quickly became a huge success. A success largely propelled by social networks.
